Selling a home can either be one of the easiest transitions of your life or one of the hardest.

The Typical Realtor

Your average real estate agent will do what we call the 3Ps of Real Estate.  They:

Put a "For Sale" sign in the yard.
Put pictures online.
Pray that your home sells.

Unfortunately, this technique only works a small percentage of the time and homeowners sell for less if this method is used. They often have no actual marketing plan, and just hope enough buyers trickle in to make an offer. Some realtors are more experienced as buyer agents, and aren't even very successful with listing homes at all! 


How can I make sure I hire the right Agent?

Ask what their sales record is.  Determine if their experience, credibility, and track record are satisfactory to you.  Ask how many homes the agent sells per year, and out of those numbers how many were sellers. Ask the agent you plan on hiring what their marketing plan is, where the ideal buyer will come from, and how their marketing plan will capture, convert, and procure the sale of your home.
